Hi, I’m Michael

Michael Field grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. After service in the Navy, he attended the Harris School of Art in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed four successful years and remained to teach at his alma mater. Michael taught anatomy, painting, composition, and sculpture and was a primary member of the Harris staff. In 1988, Michael left the teaching profession in search of more personal fulfillment as an artist.

Michael has very high standards for his art. Whether working on a portrait painting or on a portrait sculpture. He has the same goal: a reminder of a person within a point of time, their personhood, and their personality. Michael always meets with the client to determine their expectations
